We respect your privacy
Ainslee Hooper Consulting is a disability inclusion consultancy based in Geelong, Victoria. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
• your name, email address, phone number, organisation and job title
• what you tell us when you make an enquiry or book a meeting
• which newsletters, free resources or groups (such as the Disability Inclusion Network) you sign up for
• your answers to our free Workplace Disability Inclusion Assessment
• information from surveys, interviews, focus groups and documents when we work with your organisation
• payment details when you pay for a session. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
• how you use our website, through cookies (see below)
Sensitive information
Our work is about disability inclusion, so some information we handle can be sensitive, such as information about disability, health or lived experience shared in our project work. We only collect it with your consent and when the work needs it. Taking part is always voluntary. Wherever we can, we remove identifying details, and we report to client organisations in a way that does not identify you unless you have agreed otherwise.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form on our website, book a meeting, sign up for our newsletter or a free resource, complete our assessment, contact us by email, phone or LinkedIn, or take part in a project. Your organisation may also give us information when it engages us, for example a list of staff invited to a survey.
How we use it
We use your information to:
• reply to you and arrange meetings
• deliver our services
• send the resources you ask for and, if you have subscribed, our newsletter and Disability Inclusion Network updates
• invoice and keep our business records
• improve our website and services
We only send marketing emails to people who have subscribed or agreed to hear from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can email us to be removed at any time.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
• Navitential: our website, forms, contact records, emails and booking calendars
• Stripe: card payments
• Zoom: online meetings
• Google Workspace: email, calendar and file storage
• ScoreApp: our Workplace Disability Inclusion Assessment
• SurveyMonkey: surveys for client projects
• Hnry: invoicing and accounts
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Overseas storage
Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose reputable providers and take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure passwords, two-step sign-in and limiting access to those who need it. We keep information only for as long as we need it, or as long as the law requires, and then delete it or remove identifying details.
Cookies and other websites
Our website uses cookies to work properly and to help us understand how visitors use it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although some parts of the site may not work as well. Our website links to other websites, such as ScoreApp and LinkedIn.
